Animal care is a top priority at Poky Feeders. Our staff, which includes our cattle manager, oversees a team of cowboys and a processing crew that takes pride in maintaining the health of the cattle in our care. With the benefit of ongoing training and education, our crew removes any stressed animals to a hospital for individualized treatment.
To obtain an objective viewpoint, a consulting veterinarian visits the yard every week to consult and evaluate the feed yard’s health. We consistently have one of the lowest death losses in the industry.
Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) Program
Poky Feeders is committed to the health and welfare of our animals. Our employees actively participate in the Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) Program.
Beef Quality Assurance is a national program that provides guidelines for beef cattle production. The program raises consumer confidence through offering proper management techniques and a commitment to quality within every segment of the beef industry.
